Lost every key? We cut and program a new car key at your vehicle, no original needed, in Coronado or San Diego.
Every day, 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM
Car key replacement is the job we do when every key is gone. No spare in a drawer, no original to copy, and a car that will not move. We come to the vehicle in Coronado or anywhere along San Diego Bay, cut a new key from the vehicle's code and program it to the immobilizer right there in the driveway or the parking lot.
It does not matter which kind of key you had. Plain metal keys, transponder keys with a chip in the head, remote-head keys with buttons built in, and smart keys for push-button start are all made on site. No tow to a dealer, no waiting for a key to ship.
Have the year, make, model and VIN ready when you call or text (619) 313-6749. The VIN is at the base of the windshield on the driver's side and on your registration and insurance card. The price we quote is the price. If the job turns out to be different once we see the car, we stop and requote before going on.
The key went into the bay between the boat and the dock, and there is no spare anywhere. We come to the marina lot, read the key code from the car, cut a blade to it and program the chip or fob at the space. The car has to be there, since the immobilizer we pair to is inside it, and no trip to a dealer is needed.
The keys were in a box that did not survive the move, and the car is sitting in your building's garage. We come in as a guest, cut a new key from the vehicle's code and program it in your space. The VIN is visible through the windshield, so text us a photo of it with the registration and we can confirm the key type before we arrive.
The key stayed on the train and is somewhere north of the city, while the car sits in the commuter parking by the depot. We make a new key at the car, blade and chip both, and you start it yourself before we leave. If the railroad's lost and found turns the old key up later, on most cars we can add it back alongside the new one.
Each make has its own key types and programming quirks. Pick yours for the details.
All keys lost is not a dealer-only job. Smart keys, flip keys and remote-head keys like these get cut and programmed at your car with no original.

Text or call with the year, make, model and VIN, plus where the car is. We confirm the key type and the price before anything else.
We check your ID and proof of ownership before we start, then cut a fresh key to the vehicle's original code at the car.
The new key is paired to the immobilizer and any remote functions. You start the car, lock and unlock it, and only then do we pack up.
We make replacement keys where the cars are. On Coronado that means the Hotel del Coronado garage and valet stand, the streets around Orange Avenue, the Coronado Cays and the marinas along Glorietta Bay. If you work at Naval Air Station North Island or the Naval Amphibious Base, tell us where you can meet. Downtown, we work in the East Village, Little Italy and the garages near the Convention Center. We also cover Mission Valley around Fashion Valley and Hotel Circle, and drive down to National City and Chula Vista, including the Mile of Cars and Otay Ranch Town Center.
Yes. That is exactly what car key replacement is for. We pull the key code from the vehicle, cut a new blade to that code and program the chip or fob to the car; the original is not needed at any point. Our guides on what happens when every key is lost and dealer or mobile locksmith for a new key walk through the visit and the choice.
Usually not. We supply and program smart keys for most makes and models on site. For European luxury brands the process can differ, so ask when you call and we will say plainly what is possible at the car.
Not once we are done. When we program your new key we erase every other key from the car's memory, so the stolen one will no longer start the engine. The blade will still open the door, but the car cannot be driven; tell us it was a theft when you call so we can talk through what else makes sense, including the ignition.
